Happy Friday! The new year has been off to a relatively great start! Here’s a bit of an update via some of my recent Instagram photos:

The #bombcyclone came, went + left a blanket of snow in its path… now we’re in for a freeze. You can find us inside battling our colds admiring the pretty snow. (Ask me again in March and I’ll be over it.) ☃️ ❄️ Hi to all of my new followers — happy to have you here! I’m a mom of boys (1 toddler and 1 in my belly) + wife to a husband whom I met in a (Las Vegas) casino and whose career is now in the casino business. I’m sick. S is sick. Husband is sick. It’s snowing (again) …and I wish I could teleport home from work– not a new wish but especially wished for today. A hot cocoa will have to do when I get there because ☝🏽 duh.

This little one’s daddy surprised with me with a getaway this weekend — I’m super excited because we don’t spend nearly enough time alone together but still gonna miss our babe bc #momlife ❤️

Got to see our ~1 lb. 13 oz. little love yesterday😍I feel his kicks throughout the day (boy loves to move!) but it’s always so relieving and amazing to SEE him moving and hear that he’s growing right on track. 💙 I’m sure my fellow preggos and mamas know the feelings! #25weeks

1. This door mat was one of my first purchases for our new home. I love that it’s in Spanish and that it’s colorful… two of my favorite things. I’m counting all of our home decor purchases as Christmas presents 😉

2. It snowed twice this past week… and I actually enjoyed it.

3. We started decorating our Christmas tree this week and it gave me all the warm festive feels.

4. We are hosting Christmas Day and I am so excited!

5. This season is so full of love and gratitude. I don’t think a day has gone by recently where my husband and I are not counting our lucky stars/ blessings.

1. It. Is. December. How’d this happen?! I do not know. We’re in for a big and busy month and despite my dread of a lack of slowness sometimes, it’s my favorite time of year and it’ll be full of much joy. (Don’t forget to enter my Threadtank giveaway over on my Instagram–today’s the last day to do so!) Oh, and how about my new blog design? New month, almost new year, new look!

2. We recently ordered and received our Christmas cards and I love them. Can’t wait to share them with you!

3. We move out of our apartment this weekend — and despite me being super excited, it is bittersweet boding farewell to our first place together in NY and to the place we brought our firstborn home to. These walls hold such amazing memories and I hope the next renters get to experience the same.

4. Life is so weird and hard and funny and great and amazing. Things just seem to work out how they’re meant to and that just always astonishes me.

5. I am excited to get into Christmas mode. Aside from listening to Christmas music, I haven’t done any shopping or decoration. I’m hoping to change that ASAP.
