The closer it gets to seeing Timmy, the more anxious I get… and sometimes sad and frustrated because I just want to be togetherand 2+ years of countdowns and feeling like I come second to a nonliving/breathing thing, i.e. the Navy, are not the easiest things. (That being said, I am proud and support him and the military 110%.)

I can't believe you will see him so soon! I know how you feel though…we are always second which gets wicked frustrating at times. Just keep reminding yourself that it won't always be like this and that in the end all the hard work and tough times will be worth it. I'm here if you ever need to vent!

So excited that you get to see him soon! I completely understand the frustration with the military…we support and love them but it just gets to ya sometimes. Hoping that the next couple days fly by for you!!
So soon!! Wow! My sailor will be home between a month and a half and two a half months from now. I'm kind of nervous about it, already, but so excited, too. This month's his half way point on this contract! It is so difficult and someone who hasn't been through it can't understand, no matter how hard they try. No matter how much your significant other in the military cares, 'you' (being anyone with a man or woman in the military) does come second and they can't help it. You never know when a weekend off will turn into a weekend at work and when stopping in to sign some papers will turn into a full day extravaganza!
So excited for you too see Timmy. It is not easy being separated.
