Riding the Waves of Blogging

*This post is sponsored by PinkBlush but all opinions are my own.*

I hope you all had a great weekend! Ours was lowkey and relaxing, which was welcomed after a week jam-packed with parties, family visiting and a mini getaway. (Check out my Instagram for more.)

Instead of weekend recap, though, I’m going to be talking about something that’s been on my mind for a bit: blogging. I’ve been reading a lot of posts about how it has changed (i.e. this Vintage Blogging post that I recently shared) and I couldn’t agree more.

For me, it never really was what it has become. I used to primarily write about MY story. And now I mainly write A story in hopes others can relate. I think about it — why I do this whole writing-on-the-internet thing and how it’s changed — A LOT…

But at the end of the day my core reason has remained the same: because I enjoy writing. It makes me happy. It’s as simple as that, and that brings me comfort and provides a constant in the seemingly never ending waves of blogging and social media changes.

In an effort to get back to old-school blogging, I’ll be trying my best to add personal touches to posts. Think more of who I am, what I’m thinking, what I’ve been up to and even a bit of what I’m wearing, like the super cute and comfortable dress above. Whenever I think of stepping away from this space, I find so many reasons to stay.

And so, here I am. For good? I don’t know. But definitely for now.

I love this. I've been really struggling with blogging lately. The standard do people care what I have to say, what do I want to share. I need to figure out why I do this.

This dress looks so pretty on you mama! I always love blogs that tell about their every day lives and incorporate more personal aspects into their posts. That's when I feel like I can really connect with them and it's not just about selling a product etc. I look forward to following you on your journey! Beautifully Candid
