In 2012, Jackie was a rising 3L law student in New York City while her now-husband was deployed overseas. The loneliness and long distance could have been defeating. Instead, it became her launchpad.
She started writing online as an outlet to process the particular ache of being thousands of miles away from her partner who was serving in the Navy, while also trying to remain focused on becoming a lawyer.
What she didn’t expect was that the internet would answer back. She found community and hasn't looked back.

When her children arrived, Jackie faced what so many mothers know: the brutal calculus of career versus presence. She had worked too hard — survived law school, the bar exam, long distance, moves — to disappear from her own ambitions. But she had also grown too much to let ambition swallow the moments that mattered most.
So she built something different. In 2017 — newly a mom, and certain she would not surrender her ambitions to become one — she launched Moments of Musing. What started as a space to write honestly about motherhood, identity, and married life became a full creative business. She built it to grow around her life, not instead of it — proof that a mother could also be more. That “mom” and “CEO” aren’t opposites. That presence and ambition can share the same dining room table.
